Diapers have become a primary necessity for many families with babies. Many diaper brands are available on the market, offering varying prices and qualities.
According to a survey by Kurious-Katadata Insight Center (KIC), Mamy Poko is the most widely used diaper brand among Indonesian consumers. 65.7% of respondents reported regularly using this brand.
Sweety diapers ranked second, used by 50% of respondents.
Merries and Baby Happy also ranked highly as favorite baby diaper brands among respondents, with usage proportions of 34.3% and 25.9%, respectively.
Mamy Poko is not only the most widely used but also the most popular diaper brand in Indonesia. The Kurious-KIC survey revealed that 79% of respondents were aware of the brand.
Sweety and Pampers brands were known by 60.6% and 50.3% of respondents, respectively.
This survey involved 599 respondents across Indonesia, with 54.8% male and 45.2% female respondents.
However, regarding diaper brand usage, only 277 respondents had children under the age of 5.
Over half of the respondents were from Java (excluding Jakarta) at 64.6%, followed by respondents from Jakarta (15.9%), and Sumatra (11.2%).
Respondents from Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali-Nusa Tenggara, and Maluku-Papua ranged from 3.3% to 0.2%.
Most respondents were aged 35-44 years (35.2%), followed by the 25-34 age group (29.5%), and the 45-54 age group (21%).
Data collection was conducted from July 18-26, 2023, using computer-assisted web interviewing (CAWI) with a margin of error of approximately 4% and a 95% confidence level.
