According to the results of a cyber patrol conducted by the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) together with the Ministry of Communication and Digital, five illegal cosmetic products were widely sold on Indonesian marketplaces in H1 2025.

The most frequently found illegal cosmetic product was Marvis Toothpaste, with 2,958 sales links discovered.

More than 52,000 units of this product have been sold, with the most common store locations found in West Jakarta.

Below is a complete list of the most widely sold illegal cosmetic products on Indonesian marketplaces, along with their sales volume in H1 2025:

Marvis Toothpaste: 2,958 links, 52,507 products sold
Meidian Green Mask Stick: 1,189 links, 102,305 products sold
Hand Body IP: 1,132 links, 236,131 products sold
Venalisa Gel Polish: 1,110 links, 104,369 products sold
Fuyan: 1,063 links, 38,689 products sold

Following up on these findings, BPOM is collaborating with various parties to remove the sales links for these products.

"Thousands of these links have been taken down by the Ministry of Communication and Digital and the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA)," BPOM wrote on its Instagram account on Wednesday (November 26, 2025).

Consumers are also urged to report through BPOM Mobile if they still encounter these products on marketplaces.
