This "Smart Vacuum" Brand Was a Global Bestseller in Early 2025

According to a report by the International Data Corporation (IDC), global shipments of smart vacuum cleaners reached 5.09 million units in Q1 2025. This represents an 11.9% year-on-year (YoY) growth.

"This growth is driven by a combination of government subsidies in China and the rapid expansion of distribution channels in developing markets such as the United States," IDC wrote in its report on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

In Q1 2025, Roborock led global smart vacuum shipments with a 19.3% market share. This Chinese brand introduced innovative vacuum models equipped with robotic arms.

Ecovacs followed with a 13.6% share, followed by Dreame with 11.3%, Xiaomi with 9.9%, and iRobot with 9.3%.

IDC Research Manager Jitesh Ubrain noted that smart vacuums have transformed into multifunctional household assistants.

“We are seeing a shift towards devices that not only clean more efficiently with advanced AI and 3D spatial mapping, but also integrate seamlessly into a broader smart home ecosystem,” Jitesh said in a written statement.

Thanks to continuous innovation, IDC noted that the average selling price (ASP) of smart vacuums has increased by US$14 compared to Q1 of the previous year and is expected to rise further in the near future.
