Market research firm Counterpoint's data shows that smartphone sales in Indonesia increased by 20% year-on-year (YoY) in Q2 2024.

In the second quarter of 2024, Xiaomi led smartphone shipments to Indonesia with an 18.1% market share. This figure surged by 42% year-on-year (YoY).

The report mentions that Xiaomi's growth in Indonesia was supported by the entry-level segment, such as the Redmi 13C, Redmi A3, and Redmi 12 models.

Samsung trailed with a 16% shipment share, up 5% YoY. Samsung was the only non-Chinese manufacturer in this list.

Realme then held a 10.3% share of smartphone shipments in Indonesia, growing by 17% YoY, and Infinix held a 9.8% share, up 15% YoY.

Meanwhile, the shipment share of smartphones from other brands totaled 10.2%, up 59% YoY.
