By Q3 2016, Sari Roti's profit grew by 6 percent.

PT Nippon Indosari Corporindo Tbk (ROTI)'s net profit increased by 5.71 percent to Rp 203.7 billion in the third quarter of 2016, up from Rp 192.7 billion in the same period of the previous year. The growth in profit for the Sari Roti brand bread producer was supported by a 17.1 percent increase in sales from January to September 2016, reaching Rp 1.84 trillion compared to the same period in 2015.

The market capitalization of this Indonesia Stock Exchange-listed company (trading code: ROTI) reached Rp 7.7 trillion. The number of employees in 2016 was 2,451. The closing price of ROTI shares on December 8, 2016, was Rp 1,505 per share, representing an 18.97 percent increase compared to the end of 2015, which was Rp 1,265 per share.

Following the 2 December 2016 peaceful rally (212), Sari Roti became a topic of conversation due to circulating photos of several of its street vendors' carts with signs reading "Free for Mujahid." This led to speculation that the bread company sponsored the 212 peaceful rally; however, the Sari Roti producer denied these reports. The distribution of free Sari Roti at the December 2, 2016 rally was done by consumers who had purchased large quantities of the product.
