According to data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), global coffee production in the 2024/2025 harvest season reached 174.39 million 60-kilogram bags. This comprises approximately 57% Arabica coffee and 43% Robusta coffee.
During this period, Brazil was the world's largest coffee producer, with a volume of 64.70 million 60-kg bags.
"Combined Brazilian Arabica and Robusta production is forecast to increase by only 300,000 bags to 65 million bags in the 2025/2026 season," the USDA wrote in its report, Coffee: World Markets and Trade.
Indonesia ranked fifth globally with a coffee production of 10.7 million bags, consisting of 1.4 million Arabica bags and 9.3 million Robusta bags.
The USDA predicts that Indonesia's coffee production will increase by 550,000 bags to 11.3 million bags in the 2025/2026 period.
"Robusta production is forecast to reach 9.8 million bags due to favorable growing conditions in the lowlands of South Sumatra and Java, where about 75% of coffee is grown," the USDA wrote.
