Indonesians are fairly optimistic about finding a partner more easily in the next 10 years.

Indonesians are surprisingly optimistic about romantic relationships. This is evident in an Ipsos survey showing Indonesia among the top six countries with the highest optimism regarding the ease of finding a partner in the next 10 years.

Saudi Arabia ranked first, with 50% of respondents feeling it would be easier to find a partner in the next 10 years; 25% felt it would be the same, and 25% felt it would be more difficult.

Second were the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with 47% feeling it would be easier, 24% the same, and 25% more difficult.

Third was Brazil, with 43% feeling it would be easier, 21% the same, and 36% more difficult.

Indonesia showed 36% feeling it would be easier, 33% the same, and 31% more difficult.

This optimism level is significantly higher than the global average: 22% easier, 35% the same, and 43% more difficult.

This online survey involved 22,508 adult respondents (over 17 years old) across 32 countries. Data collection took place from December 22, 2022, to January 6, 2023, with the research published on February 8, 2023.
