The Indonesian state-owned logistics agency, Perum Bulog, reported that from the beginning of the year until February 25, 2024, the realization of rice distribution under the Food Supply and Price Stabilization Program (SPHP) reached 322,930 tons.

All of this rice has been distributed to the public through the Bulog Siaga program, with an average daily distribution of 10-12 thousand tons.

Epi Sulandari, Head of the Operational Planning and Public Service Division of Perum Bulog, stated that the implementation of the SPHP is carried out amidst rising rice prices.

"As per the President's assignment, we will maximize the implementation of (SPHP) to double that of the previous year, with a target of 200,000 tons per month," said Epi in an online Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting on Monday (26/2/2024).

From the beginning of the year until February 25, 2024, the most SPHP rice was distributed to the regional offices (kanwil) of DKI Jakarta and Banten, namely 106,305 tons.

Next are East Java and West Java with distribution realizations of 37,596 tons and 25,764 tons, respectively.

Meanwhile, the lowest realization was in Bali with a distribution of 1,409 tons of rice during the same period.
