Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chicken Meat Prices Rise, Red Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (6/11/2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 increased and 15 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were broiler eggs, fresh local buffalo meat, curly red chilies, mackerel, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as imported dried soybeans, red bird's eye chilies, garlic cloves, premium rice, and consumption sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest increase of Rp6,297 (17.32%) to Rp42,650 per kg. Meanwhile, corn prices at the farmer level experienced the deepest decrease of Rp6,668 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
